Make every shared copy traceable

Turn on a team policy, or mark a single document in a data room, and every image, PDF and video someone downloads through a link gets the downloader’s name, email and date printed diagonally into the file. On view-only links, a watermark is tiled over the preview.

Stamp inside the file

The stamp is part of the downloaded file, so it cannot be removed by closing a browser overlay.

Watermark on view-only

The recipient’s email, or their IP address and the time, is tiled over the preview.

Per document or per team

A team policy stamps everything, or you mark single documents in a data room.

A deterrent, not magic

It discourages leaks and shows the source. It cannot stop someone photographing a screen.

What gets stamped

  • Images, PDFs and video downloaded through a link.
  • Other file types download unchanged.
  • PDF stamping needs the qpdf tool on the server, video needs ffmpeg.
  • On view-only links, the preview watermark is shown on the page, not stamped into the file.

    Enable the stamp, or mark a document in a data room.

    Send the link as usual.
